Brett Mann  //
Supervision, conflict management and complaints coach for Christian leaders

A steady space to think about your ministry,

including the most challenging situations.

Empowering ministers, pastors, priests, and Christian leaders through individual and group supervision, with additonal expertise in navigating conflict and addressing complaints.

Christian ministry can be deeply fulfilling, but also demanding, and at times lonely and exhausting.

Ministers and Christian leaders often have to hold together the needs and expectations of others, difficult relationships and conflicts, and the everyday pressures of leadership, while trying to remain connected with the calling and gifts that first drew them into ministry.

Over nearly twenty years I provided communication skills training and extensive individual and group supervision for doctors facing many of the same professional and personal pressures as ministers, as well as helping professionals navigate conflict and complaints.

Since finishing general practice in 2025, I have chosen to devote this next stage of my working life to empowering the mission of the Church by supporting Christian leaders to grow in their skills, work through difficult situations, and sustain healthy and fulfilling ministry.

Supervision pathways

Individual Supervision

One-to-one supervision provides a confidential and supportive space to step back from the pressures of leadership and reflect thoughtfully on your work, relationships and wellbeing. It can help you work through difficult or complex situations, gain perspective, recognise patterns in yourself and others, strengthen communication and leadership skills, and make wiser decisions about the way forward.

Group Supervision

Research shows that many Christian leaders feel isolated. Group supervision provides connection with peers and learning from the facilitator and each other in a supportive, structured, confidential space. This results in deep connections between group members, less stress, increased effectiveness, and greater joy in your work.

Supervision—as a space to reflect, learn and grow.

Seminars and Training

As a presenter, I offer a range of seminars teaching skills on key topics including:

  • Dealing with conflict
  • Challenging Conversations
  • Advanced Communication Skills Training
  • Pastoral Conversations for Behaviour Change

About Brett

A platform of practised skills

Before leaving general practice in 2025, I spent 40 years as a GP. Additional training and experience in psychotherapy underpinned 20 years of teaching communication skills and providing approximately 1,000 hours of individual supervision and 1,000 hours of group supervision.

I continue to receive supervision for my own work
